Harborne Primary School is currently a three form entry school, now expanding year on year to a full four form entry by 2024. The school is situated across two sites within a one-mile radius; Station Road, B17 9LU and Court Oak Road, B17 9AB. We take pride in our school with having an experienced, highly effective and welcoming staff team and happy children who are very polite and well mannered.

 

We are looking for an experienced Finance Assistant to support the school with general administration with particular responsibility for certain finance and administration functions including working through the order system; from dealing with requisitions to processing invoices. The postholder will also have responsibility for maintaining and distributing stock.

 

Applicants must have:–

6 months experience of working in a school office

Or

Some experience of working in a finance and general administration environment.

A basic understanding of financial procedures and have the ability to adhere to processes involved.

Furthermore, the postholder will have excellent communication and organisational skills and is good with practical activities and solving problems whilst building strong working relationships.

 

This post is covered by Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) and therefore the ability to speak fluent spoken English is an essential requirement for this role.

 

It is important that the postholder has the ability to promote the safeguarding and welfare of the children in their responsibility and ensure that all tasks are carried out with regard to health and safety.
