Harborne Primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff to share this commitment, and therefore will expect successful candidates to promote this at all time of the children in your responsibility and ensure that all tasks are carried out with regard to health and safety.

We ensure all candidates are properly police checked on appointment and that all staff will report concerns through our whistle-blowing policy.

 

We currently have a number of Teaching Assistant vacancies within our school:-

 

  • Reception 1:1 SEN Support Teaching Asst, 30 hours per week, Term Time only, This post is linked to SEN funding and will be reviewed at the end of the Autumn term.
  • Y1 1:1 SEN Support Teaching Asst 15 hours per week, Term Time only (Thurs/Fri and alternate Weds)
  • Y2 1:1 SEN Support Teaching Asst 30 hours per week, Term Time only. This post is of a temporary nature as is linked to SEN funding and will end on 31/8/21. 
  • Y6 1:1 SEN Support Teaching Asst, 30 hours per week, Term Time only. This post is of a temporary nature as is linked to a maternity absence.
  • Reception Teaching Asst, 18 hours per week, Term Time only (Mon-Wed).
  • Year 2 SEN Support Teaching Asst, 12 hours per week, Term Time only (Thurs and Fri).
  • Year 3 SEN Support Teaching Asst, SEN 12 hours per week, Term Time only (Thurs and Fri).

 

The successful candidates will support teaching staff in the development and education of children, in particular those with special needs. We are looking for candidates who have a flexible, adaptable and confident attitude and have the ability to work on their own initiative. The successful post holders must be able to build and maintain effective relationships with parents, children and staff. 

We will offer you a warm and friendly environment and a fully supportive leadership team.

An enhanced DBS check is required for all successful applicants as well as providing evidence of their Identity and Right to Work in the UK.
