Harborne Primary School is seeking to appoint a fixed term Teaching Assistant for SEN. We are a happy, warm and friendly community school with pupils and families from a wide range of beliefs, cultures and backgrounds and we celebrate this diversity whenever we can. We put children at the centre of everything we do, believing firmly that if children feel happy, safe, valued and supported then the sky is the limit for what they can learn and achieve.
Harborne Primary School is currently a three form entry school, now expanding year on year to a full four form entry by 2024.
This role will be based at the Annex Site, Court Oak Road, B17 9AB.
The post is fixed term in the first instance as it is linked to SEN funding and will be reviewed at the end of the summer term 2023. You will be working 30 hours per weeks with an extra 2 ½ hours for lunch time support, therefore, will have only ½ hour unpaid break per day.
The successful candidate will support teaching staff in the development and education of SEND pupils. We are looking for a candidate who is flexible, adaptable and with a confident attitude and have the ability to work on their own initiative.
The successful post-holder must be able to build and maintain effective relationships with parents, children and staff. In return we will offer you a warm and friendly environment and a fully supportive leadership team.
We ensure all candidates are properly police checked on appointment therefore an enhanced DBS check is required for all successful applicants as well as providing evidence of their Identity and Right to Work in the UK.
Closing date: Friday, 28th October 2022 at noon
Interviews are scheduled for Monday 7th November 2022.
