IMPORTANT: a request for information!

Back in March families were asked to let us know about their occupations and to apply for critical worker status. A significant number of the forms were completed and plans were put in place based on the information collected. We assumed that this was a full picture of the critical worker status across our school community. However, as time has passed, it has become clear to us that there are many more critical workers amongst our families than were initially declared. This has meant that key worker provision put in place at The Annex is being stretched to capacity.

Based on initial applications, critical worker provision was allocated only where both carers or the sole carer had key worker status linked directly to the Covid19 response. With Government plans to open schools to more pupils shortly, we desperately need to get an accurate picture of all the critical workers we have in our school community. Please check your critical worker status through the link to the DfE document here:

We would like all Harborne Primary School families to complete the form. This was emailed to parents on Wednesday 3rd June or can be found in the Parents section of the website. Once we have this information we will then be able to plan more effectively and for the longer term for the reopening of the school to more pupils.

Please complete one form per family, with a deadline of 4:00pm, Tuesday 9th June. We will not be able to consider new critical worker applications after this date.
