Key Worker and Vulnerable Children in School

Year 5 Bubbles closed from Friday 8th January until Friday 15th January inclusive. First day back in school Monday 18th January. This revised date is following advice from Public Health England.

Latest Message, 12th January 2021:

Dear Y5 Parents,

We have received confirmation from Public Health England that the self isolation period for the staff in contact with the positive case starts from the last day of contact, not the first. This means the Y5 bubbles will not be open again until Monday 18th January.

We are very sorry for any confusion and inconvenience caused by this.

Kind regards,

Mrs Mandy Coles

See letter below, Thursday 7th January 2021:

Dear Y5 Parents,

Firstly, apologies for sending this to all parents but this is the quickest way to get a message to those who need this urgent information.

Both Y5 bubbles will be closed from tomorrow, Friday 8th January, until Thursday 14th January.

One of our Y5 teachers has tested positive today for COVID 19. This teacher was in school with our other Y5 staff on Monday and Tuesday but was not in yesterday or today with children because she was by then unwell. The guidance is that all the staff who were in close contact with her will need to self isolate for ten days, which means we have no Y5 staff to teach the bubbles.

All staff will be providing remote learning from home during this period.
Providing there are no further positive cases amongst the staff, your key worker and vulnerable children who have places with us can return to school on Friday 15th January.

I am very sorry about the inconvenience that I know this will cause but we have to follow the guidance.

Kind regards,

Mrs M Coles
Head Teacher
